What to expect during the Inaugural Working Group Meetings
These are the items to be covered during the initial WG meeting:
Elect a person to scribe (write down minutes of) the initial meeting - most likely this person will be nominated as the WG Secretary
Take roll. Ask all the attendees to introduce themselves (name and affiillation) and to answer one or more questions sent in the invitation/Blastoff Event preparation message
Review (on the screen) the draft charter and goals that the OARC’s Governing Board have provided for the WG. - Make modifications based on inputs from participants
Discuss and set the initial scope for the WG’s work, including definition of several realistic deliverables
Gather answers from the participants on all the questions in the WG handout
If there are more than 12 candidates for the WG Council, the participants must try to find a time and date within the next 2 weeks when the members can convene (online) to cast a vote on which of the members will form the WGC of that WG. (Our member slack has an app for setting up anonymous polls)
